I am in Medellin Colombia for a wedding and I am hoping to use the opportunity to take some bike salute photos. I walked around today checking out the local scene. It seemed like people were suspicious and did not want to be photographed. I’ll refine my presentation and try again.

This site is using the NextGEN Gallery plug-in for WordPress. Recently upgraded to the latest version and all hell broke loose. For some reason the original series cannot display more than 960 photos. I am working on fixing it.

The unedited version of the naked series will be part of the 14th Chicago Bike Winter Art Show. The show opens Friday, March 11th at the Chicago Urban Art Society.

Is the image too dark and low res? Too bad; you’ll have to come to the event.

The installation is going to be taken down on Sunday.

Also, the Miami series was added.

This Sunday (November 14th) I’ll be in Miami and I’ll take photos of Miami bike salutes at the Miami Bike Days event.

Bike salute photos are on display in a storefront in the loop, on the northwest corner of Wabash and Wacker by the river. They will be on display until mid-December. The display is part of Pop-Up Art Loop.

The plan for the summer is to shoot cyclists holding their bikes over their heads while submerged in a body of water (most likely Lake Michigan).

The photo mosaic and the 1024 bike salutes merged will be on display at the Chicago Critical Mass Bike Winter Art Show that opens today.

I’ll have shirts for sale at the Bike Winter Swap Meet and Urban Bicycle Expo on Saturday, February 6, 2010 between 11:00am – 6:00pm at Jaks Tap at 901 W. Jackson Blvd.
